Inspired by the <strong>John Coltrane Quartet<\/strong> and the <strong>Miles Davis Quintet<\/strong>, he combines a deep jazz tradition with a bold drive toward new creative territories. His style is defined by rhythmic freedom, harmonic depth, and collective improvisation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"637\" data-end=\"1071\">A decade-long period with the <strong>Rashied Ali Quintet<\/strong> was key to his artistic development and to shaping his vision of ensemble interplay. Originally from Camden, New Jersey, he studied at Berklee College of Music, where he transitioned to tenor saxophone and studied with <strong>Fred Lipsius<\/strong>, <strong>Andy McGhee<\/strong>, and <strong>Billy Pierce<\/strong>.
