Hermeto\u2019s Mothership<\/strong> brings together the musicians who accompanied Hermeto Pascoal<\/strong> on stage and in the studio for decades, now performing tribute concerts with a 100% Hermeto<\/strong> repertoire. They are the core unit that lived daily inside his M\u00fasica Universal\u2014the Maestro\u2019s (the Campe\u00e3o\u2019s) practice of precise writing, collective improvisation, and fearless timbre exploration.<\/p>\n

The programme spans multiple eras\u2014classics, rarities, and recent works\u2014performed in Hermeto<\/strong>\u2019s own arrangements. The setlist is shaped show by show to celebrate the composer, multi-instrumentalist, and \u201csorcerer\u201d who released more than 35 albums, wrote over 10,000 pieces, and coined ideas such as M\u00fasica Universal and Som da Aura.<\/p>\n

The current line-up features:
\u2022 Itiber\u00ea Zwarg<\/strong> (bass) \u2014 in the group since 1977, a reference for the ensemble\u2019s rhythmic and harmonic architecture.
\u2022 F\u00e1bio Pascoal<\/strong> (percussion) \u2014 member since the late 1980s and recording director on all Hermeto<\/strong> albums since 1999.
\u2022 Andr\u00e9 Marques<\/strong> (piano) \u2014 pianist and arranger with extensive international experience, in the group since 1994, and musical director of a Latin Grammy-winning big band project.
\u2022 Ajurin\u00e3 Zwarg<\/strong> (drums) \u2014 drummer, composer, and educator with long involvement in the group\u2019s stage and educational projects.
\u2022 Jota P.<\/strong> (saxes\/flutes) \u2014 featured soloist on recent tours and recordings, with a strong artistic voice of his own.<\/p>\n

Over the decades with Hermeto<\/strong>, the members of Mothership<\/strong> have toured across all continents, performing at major festivals and venues and extending the Maestro\u2019s international recognition. Recent highlights include the Latin Grammy for Pra Voc\u00ea, Ilza<\/em> (2024), an album dedicated to the memory of Dona Ilza<\/strong>, Hermeto<\/strong>\u2019s wife.<\/p>\n

Having travelled the world with the Campe\u00e3o<\/strong> for so many years, this is the group that best carries his stage language and keeps M\u00fasica Universal alive.<\/p>\n
