The repertoire combines original compositions by <strong>Gast\u00f3n Joya<\/strong> with works by influential figures such as <strong>Mario Bauz\u00e1, Chico O\u2019Farrill and Charles Mingus<\/strong>, alongside fresh interpretations of Cuban classics: boleros, danzones, filin and son. Each concert is built around improvisation, dialogue between the musicians and the rhythmic richness of Cuban tradition, offering a modern, elegant experience that remains deeply connected to its roots.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>Gast\u00f3n Joya<\/strong> is one of the most prominent Cuban double bassists of his generation and a leading figure in Afro-Cuban jazz and Latin jazz. He has collaborated with <strong>Chucho Vald\u00e9s, Paquito D\u2019Rivera, Joe Lovano, Sting and Buena Vista Social Club<\/strong>, performing at major international festivals and theatres.
