El saxofonista John O\u2019Gallagher<\/strong>, el contrabajista Masa Kamaguchi<\/strong> y el bater\u00eda Rob Garcia<\/strong> colaboran desde los a\u00f1os noventa en la escena de jazz creativo de Nueva York. En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os han consolidado esta conexi\u00f3n de largo recorrido formando un tr\u00edo estable, con giras por Espa\u00f1a y Portugal con gran \u00e9xito en 2022, 2024 y 2025. Cada uno es un maestro de su instrumento con una voz propia, y juntos crean una profunda qu\u00edmica musical que da lugar a un sonido distintivo y altamente expresivo.<\/p>\n

JOHN O\u2019GALLAGHER<\/strong>

John O\u2019Gallagher<\/strong> est\u00e1 considerado uno de los saxofonistas altos y compositores m\u00e1s destacados de la escena avant-jazz actual. Tras treinta a\u00f1os en Nueva York y actualmente residente en Portugal, es conocido por sus proyectos como l\u00edder (The Anton Webern Project, Abacus, Trio<\/strong>) y como solicitado sideman, colaborando con artistas como Joe Henderson Big Band<\/strong>, Maria Schneider Orchestra<\/strong>, Kenny Wheeler Large Ensemble<\/strong>, Ben Monder<\/strong>, Bob Belden<\/strong>, Billy Hart<\/strong>, Tony Malaby<\/strong>, Drew Gress<\/strong>, Tom Rainey<\/strong>, Rudresh Mahanthappa<\/strong>, Mike Gibbs<\/strong> y Jeff Williams<\/strong>. Ha participado en m\u00e1s de 70 grabaciones, con tres nominaciones a los premios Juno, dos a los Grammy y un premio Grammy. MASA KAMAGUCHI<\/strong>
El contrabajista Masa Kamaguchi<\/strong> naci\u00f3 en Wakkanai (Jap\u00f3n). En 1990 se traslad\u00f3 a Boston para estudiar en el Berklee College of Music, donde colabor\u00f3 con destacados m\u00fasicos como George Garzone<\/strong>, Hal Crook<\/strong>, Herb Pomeroy<\/strong> y Frank Carlberg<\/strong>. En 1994 se estableci\u00f3 en Nueva York, actuando y grabando con figuras como Paul Motian<\/strong>, Frank Kimbrough<\/strong>, Sonny Simmons<\/strong>, Ben Monder<\/strong>, David Murray<\/strong>, Toots Thielemans<\/strong>, Tony Malaby<\/strong>, Charles Gayle<\/strong>, Ron Horton<\/strong>, Dave Douglas<\/strong>, John O\u2019Gallagher<\/strong>, Russ Lossing<\/strong> y Billy Mintz<\/strong>. En 2006 se traslad\u00f3 a Barcelona, manteniendo fuertes v\u00ednculos con la escena neoyorquina. Tambi\u00e9n colabora con m\u00fasicos europeos como Albert Bover<\/strong>, Perico Sambeat<\/strong>, Albert Sanz<\/strong> y Sara Serpa<\/strong>. ROB GARCIA<\/strong>
Considerado \u201cuna figura clave de la escena jazz\u00edstica actual de Brooklyn<\/em>\u201d (Time Out New York<\/em>) y \u201cuno de los grandes bater\u00edas y compositores de jazz de Nueva York<\/em>\u201d (Capital New York<\/em>), Rob Garcia<\/strong> es una fuerza esencial del jazz contempor\u00e1neo tanto como sideman como l\u00edder. Ha colaborado con Joe Lovano<\/strong>, Sheila Jordan<\/strong>, Dave Liebman<\/strong>, Wynton Marsalis<\/strong>, el Kronos Quartet<\/strong> y muchos otros, participando en m\u00e1s de 75 grabaciones \u2014incluyendo discos premiados con Grammy\u2014 y realizando giras por todo el mundo.
