Castello Branco arrives for the first time in Barcelona.
The renowned Brazilian musician and composer returns to Europe to celebrate a decade of career, offering an intimate concert where he will perform his greatest hits.
Born in the neighborhood of Santa Teresa, Rio de Janeiro, Castello Branco spent his early years in a monastery in the Sierra del Capim (Rio-Bahia), an experience that marked his life until he was 16 years old. In 2013, he debuted with “Serviço”, his first album, praised as one of the best of the year and which generated more than 400 thousand downloads, boosting three successful European tours. Subsequently, in 2017 he released “Sintoma”, followed by “Sermão” in 2019, thus completing a musical trilogy that has captivated audiences around the world.
His latest work, “Niska: a message for times of emergency”, released in 2021, addresses the discourse of the solar punk movement and features collaborations with prominent artists such as Duda Beat, Mahmundi, Lazúli and Rubel. With more than 480 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, Castello Branco has left an indelible mark on the contemporary music scene, highlighting hits such as “Qual é a sua?”, recorded by Mahmundi.
