Atenea Carter voice and piano (soloist).

Atenea Carter (Barcelona, 1992) grew up in a family of women artists and began playing the piano at the age of six. At 13, she was already studying jazz at the Taller de Músics and the Jam Session school, and at 15 she was a chorister for artists such as Arianna Puello and Gertrudis. Later, she started a project as a composer with Another Way, a group with which she performed more than 200 performances in venues such as Harlem, Hard Rock and Razzmatazz, where she won the Best Singer Award in the Big Cast Live contest! In parallel, he led the group Athena Carter & The Mighty Might. Currently, he leads proposals such as Groove Collective. At mas i mas’22 he will perform literally solo in a display of his talent as an artist. His influences: neo-soul, r’n’b and jazz.

Magalí Datzira is a double bass player, singer and composer from Barcelona who has lived in a musical atmosphere all her life. In her career, she has taken part in various jazz projects, both as leader and sidewoman. For some time, she has been working on her own music, with a series of songs that in some cases she composed years ago. In mid-2021, she released her first EP, entitled </3. At Mas i Mas ‘22, she will present her own music live for the first time, with her own band. The concert will include the other singles she has been releasing in recent years. It will be an exclusive preview of the repertoire on her first solo album, the launch of which is planned for autumn this year.

On the same day that she will literally perform alone, that is, voice and piano, the Barcelona singer will return to the stage of the Jamboree to present one of her latest projects: Atenea Carter & Captain’s Brotherhood. In this group, Carter sings surrounded by a real power-trio —guitar-bass-drums. It is a powerful band that has already triumphed in festivals of such prestige as Primavera In Black, in L’Hospitalet.
