Bernard van Rossum Quartet – Jazz with roots and modernity
The Spanish-Dutch saxophonist Bernard van Rossum presents a repertoire of original compositions alongside three outstanding European jazz musicians: Xavi Torres on piano, Joan Terol on drums, and the virtuoso Italian bassist Marco Zenini.
A modern jazz sound with a wide range of influences, with rhythmic dimension as the guiding thread. The repertoire moves seamlessly between contemporary grooves, Brazilian folk traditions, and flamenco styles.
With his award-winning BvR Flamenco Big Band, van Rossum has released three albums and collaborated with artists such as Carles Benavent, Antonio Serrano, and Rafael de Utrera, performing at major festivals including Jazz San Javier, FIJAZZ, Eurojazz Mexico, Flamenco Biennale and North Sea Jazz Festival.
