DAAHOUD SALIM QUINTET - Jamboree Jazz
DAAHOUD SALIM QUINTET

They have only been up and running for two years, but in that short time this quintet have won the right to perform at some of the top festivals and venues in Europe (Bimhuis, Madrid International Jazz Festival, Getxo International Jazz Festival, etc.) and won awards as best band and best soloist (Daahoud Salim) at the 40th Getxo International Jazz Festival, among other important distinctions. Their hypnotic, energetic, spiritual hardbop is based on compositions by the young pianist and his father, Abdu Salim, who sometimes accompanies them on stage. Abdu Salim (Texas, 1950) has been one of the pioneers of jazz in Spain – a saxophonist who has left his mark on these youngsters and on many other generations of jazzmen. An evening with top-quality music guaranteed.

Daahoud Salim piano, Bruno Calvo trumpet, Pablo Martínez trombone, Hendrik Müller double bass, Sun-Mi Hong drums.
