Liuba María Hevia, singer-songwriter, is considered an essential voice in the Cuban and Latin American music scene. She is the current female voice of Cuban Nueva Trova. She has more than twenty-five albums to her credit. She has recorded or collaborated with Silvio Rodríguez, Pablo Milanés, Ana Belén, Pedro Guerra, Marta Gómez, Manuel García, Omara Portuondo, Chucho Valdés, Los Van Van, among many others. In addition to her own extensive work, which covers genres and expressions as varied as troubadour songs, habaneras, guajiras, son, bolero, ballads, and children’s music, she has included anthologies of great musical value dedicated to habaneras and other genres and major composers and performers of Ibero-American music.

Considered by many in Cuba as the most important composer and performer of her generation, Liuba has shared her art on all continents. She has been awarded numerous times (sixteen) the Cubadisco Award, the highest distinction granted in Cuba for music production. In 2025, she was given the Extraordinary Award for Artistic Mastery, recognizing her excellence and musical career.

She holds the Distinction for National Culture, Alejo Carpentier Medal, Félix Varela Order, and is a UNICEF Ambassador for her work in favor of children.

During 2025, she brought her art to Spain, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Peru, in addition to her concerts in Cuba. Also in 2025, she released the albums Canciones que no se extraviaron (Vol.2) and very recently, Liuba María Hevia with the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

In 2026, a new album titled Almas comunes will be released. Her show Alma creadora will include the best-known songs from her repertoire and songs that will be part of her new production, covering many of the genres that characterize her extensive body of work.
