Júlia Boncompte presents her debut album, ni curt, ni concís, ni concret, released on September 19, 2025. With a handcrafted, intimate, and playful sound, her songs explore themes such as childhood and growing older. The lyrics emerge from writings, everyday conversations, and poems, paying tribute to family, friends, and stories left unfinished.
The project experiments with various musical forms, from lullabies and habaneras to new and unconventional structures, drawing influence from Mercedes Sosa, Caetano Veloso, Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Amaia Miranda, Nico Roig, Anna Ferrer, Mar Pujol, and others.
Júlia brings the songs to life on stage with a talented team: Uri Garrell (production and synths), Eloi Sayrach (production and violin), Jana Serra (vocals), Pau Rovira (cello), Pau Mascort (guitar), and Lola Ybran (double bass), with special collaborations from Montse Fradera, Rafel Fradera, Giulietta Vidal, Irene Romo, Edna Bravo, and Marc Vilajuana.
Júlia Boncompte’s music is an exercise in memory, conversation, joy, and serenity—a gift for the listener, just as it has been for her.
