American trombonist Craig Klein, Grammy Award winner with his band The New Orleans Nightcrawlers in 2020 for the album Atmosphere, and Galician banjo player and vocalist Carlos Childe join forces for a tour across Spain, bringing the sounds of traditional New Orleans jazz.
Craig Klein began playing trombone in high school and has been a member of prominent bands in the city such as Preservation Hall Jazz Band and The Storyville Stompers, among others. In 1990, he joined the group of renowned artist Harry Connick Jr., where he remained for 16 years.
Craig has participated in more than 150 recordings and collaborated with artists such as Dr. John, The Neville Brothers, R.E.M., Allen Toussaint, George Porter, Leroy Jones, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and Dave Bartholomew.
Carlos Childe is a Galician banjo player and vocalist with a strong connection to the city of New Orleans, where he has been a regular performer in the jazz clubs of the French Quarter for the past 15 years. His latest album, Nola by Spain (2025), was recorded in the city alongside drummer Joe Lastie (known for his work with Fats Domino, Irma Thomas, and Professor Longhair) and released by the New Orleans Jazz Museum label (Gallatin Street Records). In recent years, Carlos Childe has toured with well-known musicians from the New Orleans jazz scene such as Carl LeBlanc, Will Smith, and Joe Lastie, and has recorded with Rickie Monie, Bruce Backman, Mitchell Player, Robert Snow, among others.
