Tom Ollendorff guitar · Viktor Nyberg double bass · Marc Michel drums.
Guitarist Tom Ollendorff presents the acclaimed work ‘Open House’ (Fresh Sound) at Jamboree, as part of a European tour. A prominent figure in the British jazz scene, Ollendorff has collaborated with Ari Hoening, Bill McHenry, Tim Garland, and others, performing at major European clubs like Ronny Scott’s and Montmartre. In 2021, he made his solo debut with the album ‘A Song For You’ (Fresh Sound), receiving widespread praise from critics: “A combination of towering fragments, a knack for crafting sophisticated compositions, and an unabashedly optimistic and shameless personality as a musician” (Jazzwise); “A virtuoso and exquisite musician” (All About Jazz); “Meticulous and eloquent” (The Guardian)… ‘Open House’ solidifies Tom Ollendorff’s position as one of the most prominent emerging guitarists internationally. In the basement of Plaça Reial, he will perform as a trio with two other young British musicians: drummer Marc Michel and bassist Viktor Nyberg.
