New York-based pianist Russ Lossing, a creative force who has electrified the international jazz scene for over 35 years, brings his Mood Trio to Jamboree, representing a new evolution in his artistic journey. Known for his 12-year collaboration with legendary drummer Paul Motian, Lossing has performed at the Village Vanguard and released 26 albums as a leader, alongside more than 400 original compositions.
Joined by bassist Masa Kamaguchi, his musical partner of 30 years with a distinctive and imaginative voice, and drummer Dayeon Seok, a remarkable Korean artist with a unique personal sound, the trio blends experience, technical mastery and fresh perspectives, exploring new territories of the piano trio format. Together, they create a musical dialogue that merges tradition with inventive improvisation.
