Formed a decade ago in Barcelona with roots in New York, Sperrazza · Sacks · Kamaguchi released their debut Barcelona Holiday (Fresh Sound Records, 2014), instantly turning heads with their fresh, elegant sound—melding post-bop energy with the spirit of jazz masters. Since then, they’ve built a solid catalog with nearly ten albums in their acclaimed PLAY series.
Reimagining music by legends such as Elmo Hope, John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Herbie Nichols, and Paul Motian, the trio delivers a unique blend of tradition and forward-thinking artistry. Each performance is an intimate yet vibrant journey through the soul of jazz.
