Based in Bogotá, La BOA has become one of the strongest Afrobeat collectives in Latin America. The project La BOA meets Tony Allen was born from a collaboration initiated with Tony Allen before his passing and has evolved into a powerful live celebration of his rhythmic legacy. The project is supported by Comet Records (France), which continues to manage Tony Allen’s catalog.
The show creates a vibrant dialogue between Lagos and Bogotá: orchestral afrobeat energy combined with Colombian Caribbean grooves, a powerful brass section, hypnotic percussion and a strong female presence on stage. It’s a danceable, political and deeply rooted performance. 🎶🔥
