At Barcelona’s iconic Jamboree venue, we will celebrate Bobby Carcassés’ 88th birthday with a one-of-a-kind concert. Joined by his son, the acclaimed Roberto Carcassés, and outstanding Cuban musicians based in Spain, the performance will become a musical dialogue between generations.
Inspired by the film “Timbalayé”, starring Bobby Carcassés himself, the evening will explore the origins of Afro-Cuban music and the birth of Cuban jazz through the perspective of one of its most influential pioneers.
In addition, everyone who purchases a ticket for the concert will be invited to attend a special screening of the film, which will take place at the Barcelona Civic Centre.
