The Chilean composer and guitarist premieres his new trio format alongside acclaimed musicians Max Villavecchia (Los Aurora, Iberia) and Marcelo Woloski (Snarky Puppy, Quiet Colors).
After releasing and performing his debut album, Amigos de un río plateado, at venues and festivals including Jazz in the Park Romania, Benjamín takes a new artistic direction, scaling his project down to a trio to further explore South American instrumental music and contemporary jazz, with a strong focus on rhythmic and timbral experimentation.
This new repertoire reflects the influence of artists such as Mario Laginha, Egberto Gismonti, Aca Seca Trío, Pat Metheny, Carlos Aguirre, and other leading figures in original instrumental music.
