Argentinian jazz pianist Hernán Jacinto Trio presents GARDEL, winner of the 2025 Gardel Award for Best Jazz Album. Gardel, released on vinyl and digital formats by the European label EL CLUB DEL DISCO, based in Barcelona, is the trio’s most recent album. It features seven pieces from Carlos Gardel’s repertoire, interpreted through Jacinto’s refined jazz perspective, with his arrangements, piano virtuosity, and above all, expressive energy and freedom in interaction with the musicians throughout each piece.
The album goes beyond the typical classical approach to the genre, approaching each track with a contemporary language while always respecting the spirit of each work by the “Zorzal Criollo.”
