Exhibition of Strings – A Walk from Lyre to Metaverse

In an era of sensory overload dominated by 4DX and the Metaverse, this performance demonstrates the synesthetic power of a single classical guitar. Just as Mussorgsky projected paintings into music, this recital recreates modern cultural icons—from Michael Jackson to Studio Ghibli—through the six strings of the guitar. This is more than a concert; it is a powerful metaphor for how the oldest traditional instruments resonate in the modern media age.

Melodies that make the invisible visible

The concept interprets “Projection” as a “synesthetic transition.”

  • Stimulating visual imagination: In a world of visual overload, we create a paradox: on a stage with “nothing to see,” a single instrument allows the audience to create their own internal cinema.

  • Connecting tradition and modernity: As a descendant of the ancient Lyre, the classical guitar links its traditional values with modern codes (pop icons, film music) to build a bridge between generations.

Exhibition of Strings: From Tradition to Modern Icons

  • Opening: Promenade (Mussorgsky) – Inviting the audience into the gallery of imagination.

  • Scene 1: Spirit of the Forest (Studio Ghibli Medley) – Recreating the visual fantasy of animation through melody.

  • Scene 2: Palace of the Knight (Star Wars Theme) – Expanding spatiality through percussive guitar techniques.

  • Scene 3: Rebirth of Legends (Asturias & Recuerdos de la Alhambra) – The technical and traditional essence of Spanish guitar.

  • Scene 4: The King of Pop (Michael Jackson – Billie Jean & Beat It / A.C. Jobim – Felicidade) – Projecting the peak of modern pop through rhythmic intensity.

  • Finale: The Great Gate of Kiev (Original Variation) – A grand finale where tradition and modernity converge to overwhelm the space.
