Canarian producer and bassist Charlie Moreno presents Powafunk, a project that offers a conceptual turn compared to his previous discography. A change of course that will take the listener through different funk styles, a genre that runs through Moreno’s veins. Overflowing with energy and positivity, this time Charlie Moreno gives the spotlight of his bass to the voices of singers Alex Delgado and Brigitte Emaga.
This work is influenced by the music of classic funk artists, but with modern touches and the boldness for which the artist is known. Without a doubt, this is Charlie Moreno’s most ambitious project to date, featuring a band of eight exceptional musicians that will leave no one indifferent.
In the bassist’s own words: it’s time to get people dancing. And he will do so with his second album, Black Juice, composed mainly of original tracks, along with some reinterpretations of hits in the style to which Moreno has added his personal touch.
In short, Powafunk is here to stay, and it comes as a “groove tsunami,” making it impossible for the audience to remain seated during the concerts.
