Roberto Carcassés piano · Diego Coppinger bass
Born in Havana, Cuba, he graduated from the National School of Arts in 1991, specializing in piano and percussion.
His music defies labels; he has always been open to experimenting with formats, styles, rhythms, and sounds. This versatility and free-spirited approach led him to create projects such as Columna B (with Descemer Bueno, Yosvany Terry, and Dafnis Prieto), Estado de Ánimo (together with Descemer Bueno, Ruy López-Nussa, and Elmer Ferrer), and finally Interactivo, through which he consolidated his expansive musical vision.
More than a band, Interactivo is a heterogeneous platform where diverse artists come together spontaneously, united by their love of music, a jazz-driven vocation, and creative freedom. The result is innovative yet accessible music, deeply connected to its roots.
Alongside his success as a solo artist and as the director of Interactivo, his restless spirit has also led Roberto to work in film scoring and music production.
He has received major recognitions, including the National Order of Culture, for his contribution to Cuban musical culture.
