The friendship between Pere Soto and Evan Tate dates back to 1993, when the two first met under challenging circumstances at a jazz festival in the Austrian Tyrol. That encounter sparked a lasting musical connection that has evolved over the decades.
Now reunited on Pere Soto’s latest album, Tribute to Charlie Parker – BIRD (Fresh Sound Records), the two artists bring their chemistry to the stage once again. Performing as a quartet at Jamboree, they’ll present music from the new record alongside selections from the wider jazz repertoire.
