The MASiMAS Festival 2026 presents Jamboree Jam, the jam session led by Marc Ayza within the framework of the GMF Barcelona Jazz Workshop & Festival, an event that connects the GMF’s educational spirit with the most vibrant and spontaneous essence of jazz. Every Monday, the Jamboree opens its doors to turn the club into a meeting point where music happens in real time, without a pre-written script.
The evening begins at 7:00 PM with an opening concert that sets the rhythm of the night and creates the ideal atmosphere for listening and interaction. The stage becomes a space for sonic exploration where musicians engage in dialogue, test ideas, and build a shared language fueled by the energy of live performance. It is a moment when jazz presents itself as a shared, constantly evolving experience.
After the concert, the night continues with the jam session, running until 11:00 PM, welcoming musicians from diverse backgrounds and musical paths. The atmosphere is intimate, authentic, and open, allowing performers and the audience to connect through improvisation, attentive listening, and creative risk-taking. It is an experience that captures the GMF spirit as a space for learning, exchange, and community.
