A recently formed quartet committed to the challenges of our times, La Banda del Poblenou was born from the idea of a neighborhood band: a musical group that plays at community festivals, events, and gatherings.
La Banda del Poblenou consists of a wind trio and drums. Tuba, bass clarinet, and trumpet blend brass and wood textures with the rhythm of the drums.
All compositions are written by Juan De Diego. Influences of brass band, Balkan music, and street music, all seasoned with contemporary music and improvisation.
