Jahari Stampley is a genre-defying jazz artist, composer, and sonic visionary. A prodigious talent from Chicago, Illinois, he is the winner of the 2023 Herbie Hancock International Jazz Competition, named 2024 Chicagoan of the Year in Jazz, a Grammy nominee, and a 2025 ASCAP Award recipient.
His artistry draws from jazz, classical, and gospel traditions while projecting into futuristic improvisation with a distinctive voice. He is currently touring his latest album, What A Time, with his dynamic Family Trio, featuring his mother, multi-instrumentalist D-Erania Stampley.
