With more than 18 years of experience in the music industry, Hilder Brando Osorno, also known as Killabeatmaker, is a Colombian music producer who blends Colombian rhythms with Afrobeats, Amapiano, and Cumbia. His knowledge of traditional South American indigenous music has enabled him to produce and release electronic and global club music to a large fan base. In 2014, he shared a Latin Grammy nomination as a sound engineer with a project that also won an award from Nickelodeon TV channel Don Tetto.
Killabeatmaker is not only an accomplished DJ, but has also founded a lively live band that performs in front of thousands of people across Europe and America. The show brings a groovy and mystical combination through an energetic performance with unique instruments from the motherland. Killabeatmaker‘s record label and recording studio, RADIOCALIENTE Music, is growing steadily and has even been invited to participate in SWSX and the Amsterdam Dance Event.
The live band consists of three musicians: Guadalupe Giraldo, lead vocalist on percussion and Colombian gaita. Julian Ramirez on percussion and backing vocals, and finally Killabeatmaker, who complements an ecstatic show with amplified beatbox, rap, vocals and electrifying AKAI beats. Over the past five years, the band has toured Europe five times and performed in more than 43 cities, as well as at important and renowned cultural music conferences, such as WOMEX 2023 in Spain, BIME 2022 in Colombia, BOMM 2022 in Colombia, CIRCULART 2022 in Colombia and SIM São Paulo 2019 in Brazil.
In addition to their rousing live performances, Killabeatmaker and his band also offer inspiring workshops. With topics such as ‘Production of music with organic and electronic instruments’, ‘Rhythmic body exercises’ and ‘Voice and drums’, they share their expertise and invite participants to immerse themselves deeply in the world of Colombian rhythms and modern music production.
