Danilo Tarso piano · Lluís Naval drums · Hector Tejedo double bass
Hector Tejedo Trio was born from the collaboration of three musicians: Danilo Tarso on piano, Lluís Naval on drums, and Héctor Tejedo, the project’s leader, on double bass, with the aim of developing their own sound and bringing a personal signature to today’s jazz scene.
By combining elements of tradition—such as the compositions of Duke Ellington featured on their album The Single Petal of a Rose—with the freshness of their arrangements and a contemporary sound infused with hip hop and pop aesthetics, they create a unique proposal that goes beyond conventional and traditional jazz while preserving its essence.
Originality, elegance, talent, and creativity come together in this project, which pays tribute to one of the most iconic figures of jazz and the swing era, Duke Ellington, and revisits his most emblematic pieces from a modern jazz perspective, as if they had been composed today.
