Known as Duda Beat in honor of the manguebeat countercultural movement, which since the 1990s has blended funk, hip hop, rock, electronic music, and maracatu, she is one of the latest major figures in Brazilian music.
She won the APCA Award—one of the most important recognitions in Brazilian culture—in 2018 thanks to her debut album, Sinto Muito (2018), and with Te Amo Lá Fora (2021) she has confirmed all that promise: effervescent sounds that invite dancing, with one foot in the musical styles of Pernambuco (she is from Recife) and the other in those of the western part of the country.
Wide-ranging pop and electronic rhythms in perfect alliance.
Standing concert.
