The Healers Band is a band that began in Barcelona in 2004 at a bar in the Gothic Quarter called Moondance, where the singer, influenced by the legendary artist Van Morrison, performed his most well-known songs with his guitar. The band gave its first concert in 2005 at Privat as a tribute to Van Morrison and shortly after went on to play for 20 years in venues all over Barcelona, as well as at blues and jazz festivals, the Festes de Gràcia, television shows, and more.
In 2024, they decided to compose an album of 10 original songs inspired by the work of the Irish poet Mick Larkin, who, together with the singer Enrique, wrote the ten tracks based on the poems.
The album is titled The Knocking Spirit and captures the essence of Van Morrison’s music.
