Dialogue between Classical Music and Jazz
This concert presents a unique musical experiment: a live dialogue between classical music, jazz improvisation, and a new composition by Albert Marquès written especially for the occasion within the classical music framework.
Albert Marquès and Marc Heredia will perform pieces in turns, alternating repertoire and perspectives, creating a meeting space between aesthetics, languages, and a shared history that began nearly twenty years ago when they were both students in Barcelona. Marquès has lived in New York City for over a decade and tours worldwide with his projects. He will visit us during his European tour to present this unrepeatable concert.
This project stems from a desire to break boundaries, question the limits between genres, and reclaim the spirit of play, curiosity, and freedom that united them from their beginnings as musicians.
Attention: this concert is a one-time-only experiment. We invite you to be part of this exceptional encounter, a unique evening where music is built in real time, and where the past and present dialogue to open new paths.
“Music does not understand labels. Divisions between genres are artificial constructions that often distance us from what is most essential: listening, sharing, and taking risks. When we break these walls, music comes alive again.” Marc Heredia
“I have spent half my life traveling between worlds that were supposed not to touch. Over time, I have realized that genres do not protect music; they limit it. This project is an act of resistance against aesthetic boundaries and a radical commitment to creative freedom.” Albert Marquès
