Sarah Hanahan feat. Joan Fort Quartet – A Rising Voice in Contemporary Jazz
New York-based saxophonist Sarah Hanahan is one of the most exciting new voices on the international jazz scene. A graduate of the Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz and The Juilliard School, she has already established herself as a leading alto saxophonist of her generation.
She has performed with some of the most respected names in jazz, including Jeff “Tain” Watts, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Billy Hart, Nicholas Payton, and Jason Moran, and regularly leads her own band at New York’s most iconic venues: Smalls, Dizzy’s, Smoke, Birdland, and Zinc Bar.
For this concert, she leads an international quartet featuring Catalan guitarist Joan Fort (based in Amsterdam), bassist Philip Lewin, and drummer Frederik Villmow, both from Germany.
An unmissable night for jazz lovers—a vibrant showcase of virtuosity, passion, and cross-cultural energy.
