The Healers Band – Keeping the Spirit of Van Morrison Alive in Barcelona
A 20-year musical journey now enters a new and inspired chapter.
Formed in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter in 2004, The Healers Band began as an intimate tribute to Van Morrison. It all started with singer Henry W., performing Morrison’s songs on guitar at the legendary Moondance bar. By 2005, the full band debuted on stage at Sala Privat and went on to perform across Barcelona’s music venues, blues and jazz festivals, Gràcia street parties, and national TV shows for over two decades.
Now, in 2024, they release their first original album: “The Knocking Spirit” — a heartfelt collaboration between Henry and Irish poet Mick Larkin, with music composed by E. Lazzaro. Each track brings Larkin’s poetry to life, echoing the soul and musical spirit of Van Morrison.
